Contributor Guidelines

Plain and simple: we want to treat your work with respect.

Rights

You keep ownership of your work. When you submit, you give Hair Art Magazine permission to review it. If selected, we'll agree with you in writing on how and where it may be used (print, digital, flipbook, website, social media).

Original work only

Only submit work you created or have the right to share. Don't submit someone else's design, photo, or video as your own.

Release

Anyone recognizable in your photos or video must agree to be published. If they are under 18, a parent or guardian must sign. We'll provide a release form for selected content.

Credit

We credit the artist, and the photographer and model when provided. Tell us exactly how you want your name and handle to appear.

Payment

We pay for selected content. Payment terms are shared and agreed with you before publication. Submitting does not guarantee selection or payment.

Quality

Sharp focus, good lighting, clean backgrounds. Images at least 3000px. Video in MP4.

Respect

No hateful, violent, or explicit content. We may decline any submission.
